Fairy Tuesday for group stage bonanza

It has to be a fairly Tuesday for a group stage bonanza. A couple of mouth-watering fixtures.



Belenenses - Aguas Santas Milaneza (reverse fixture) 3 ahead on low scoring

Aguas should go through but not likely to be the most attractive match 

Irun - Kolstad   (reverse fixture) 3 ahead on intermediate scoring

Love Bidasoa Irun as I met so many players back in 2001 out of the blue of Erasmus days. They face a tough test to go through. Fingers crossed. I am often as excited as their fans.

Chambery - FEJER Veszprem (reverse fixture) 4 ahead and a win in Nimes should be a good combination to secure a group spot.

Sporting - Silkeborg  Nordic (Danish)  (reverse fixture)  A nine goal deficit with a solid Sporting team. Nothing is impossible but it could be a massive upset if silky Silke were to overcome the deficit.

Benidorm - Zurich  (reverse fixture) I do not foresee Zurich coming back from 10 goals down but what do I know?

Alpla Hard - Butel Skopje  (reverse fixture) In a buoyant North Macedonia city a 5-goal deficit is an easy task to deal with. Should be a good game. 

Steaua Bucharest - FTC Rail Interesting return leg as FTC only lost 33-31. A title contender?

Goppingen - Lemgo Another massive return leg as Lemgo keen to outscore Goppingen and go through. A must watch

Kristianstad  - Aarhus 31- 32 (reverse fixture)   All to play for but Aarhus just a tiny advantage. 

Savehof - Montpellier 24 - 24   USAM are so disappointed not to be in it. New ruling would be an incentive to cheer on the French side. Not really given the rivalry. To be fair Savehof on the men side are not as good as on the women side.

Azoty Pulawy - Nexe  A very fascinating reverse fixture but can Nexe reunite with the group stage facing a stern test at home. 

Kwidzyn - Flensburg   Reverse fixture should be a walk in the park for the Northern Germany side

That's it the group stage draw for the EHF European League is at our fingertips with today's additional qualified teams in green Aguas Santas Milaneza - Belenenses  3 ahead on low scoring  Aguas should go through but not likely to be the most attractive match.   ARSENAL's 40% v 60% and life is completely wiped out of fans All the important life stuff on a halt this weekend because of this life defining moment this Sunday at 4pm in North London. 40% v 60% I said to my Transport for London buddies after a never ending 6-week (already) ordeal on calamity Northern Line.
