The Cologne Symphony

Even the most ardent handball fan loses his battle against the possibility in accessing the much acclaimed event as fans face a huge spike in restrictions. 

Four clubs, four fantastic set of fans and players.

I will have to attend the event without any funny attire and without my camera. It had been so easy watching it from EHF TV that I never realized how infrequent my actual in person Final Four visits to Cologne had been.

I must remain neutral. If I had to choose I would have to pick Barcelona to retain the title so that Ludovic Fabregas ends his magical tenure on a high before his new Magyar venture. Spending a full week in Cologne in WM 2019 made me realize how much there is truly something special about the venue and its vicinity and for so many reasons. Barcelona Intersport legend Raul Entrerrios is also starring in my second book of poetry recently released. 

I am so looking forward to catching up with so many legendary fans, players, managers, refs. This is such a massive networking handball family event. It could even start with the people on my flight from London to Dusseldorf on Friday morning. 

This season has been marred with ups and downs in all sorts of subjects. Other pressing commitments made me switch allegiance to other activities. 


   



Cologne is one of the last experiences I shared with amazing Lorene and all the true handball fans will have an extra special thought for her wherever she is and oversees us from the gods. 

I only have a couple of hours to review the strategies and possible lines-up of all four teams competing at this year's Final Four.

That's it the group stage draw for the EHF European League is at our fingertips with today's additional qualified teams in green Aguas Santas Milaneza - Belenenses  3 ahead on low scoring  Aguas should go through but not likely to be the most attractive match. Honest outcome on life with Arsenal's 40/60

  ARSENAL's 40% v 60% and life is completely wiped out of fans All the important life stuff on a halt this weekend because of this life defining moment this Sunday at 4pm in North London. 40% v 60% I said to my Transport for London buddies after a never ending 6-week (already) ordeal on calamity Northern Line.
