NORWAY / AUSTRIA / SWEDEN EHF 2020 Day Three - Hungary rise and tranquil Croatia

The PALACE – ARSENAL game finished with a Bruno extremely angry. and it was 14h50 at Selhurst station so expected the train to stop at Balham. No Mr on engineering work duties did not stop at Balham and I was getting agitated because I wanted some food and tranquil space to watch my handball and simply calm down on my own away from this humid depressing grey weather.

So frustrating. Missed the first 12 minutes

Croatia vs Belarus on the PC but Hungary vs Russia on the phone.

I note the French ladies as refs for Croatia vs Belarus.

Croatia fans are enjoying themselves, from 15-10 at the interval to 19-11 in less than 5 minutes

Whilst Hungary are defending well against Russia protecting a slender lead, but such lead is on the increase unlike the tight scoreline in the first half

I cannot take a picture with my phone but I could use my camera, but the quality would be ridiculously low.

Croatia only conceded 13 goals within 38 minutes.

Mikler in the meantime is getting the better of Russian players

Not for long though as the deficit down 20-18 for Hungary.

Mikler saves the penalty as sweet revenge.

In the meantime, Croatian songs are welcoming an exhibition as evidenced by the sweet goal by Maric on 40 minutes (22-14)

Sego is fairly confident today

Number two by Maric is a delicious wrist movement five minutes later (25-15)

Hungary weathered the Dibirov led revolt, so much so that Hungary leads again by three (23-20) with eleven minutes left on the clock.

Bruno alias Brouka scores a funny one for Belarus as it is now 26-18.

I agree with Mr Bray as no pattern to the Russia-Hungary match.

Great save by young second-string Belarus keeper

Is Brouka giving hope to Belarus? Not really as young keeper makes a huge mistake with his long range pass; it could have turned to a 6-goal fight with 8 minutes left.

Newcomer Asanin impresses with a superb save to keep the score at 27-20.

Russia on the other end is slowly coming back and it is now 25-25. Four minutes on the clock.

Important penalty scored by Balogh for Hungary conceded by Dibirov.

Karacic misses a penalty saved by young Belarus keeper.

Big fight for the ball in the middle as Hungary leading by one (26-25)

One minute left and Russia can even the match. Time out with 25 seconds left.

Croatia leads 29-22 with two minutes left.

It is much tighter and Dibirov on the post as Hungary edges it deservedly: 26-25

Croatia’s comprehensive win is for a final result of 31-23
Slowly awaiting for the big one i.e. SPAIN vs GERMANY.
